Local Roads

The Shire of Beverley is responsible for the maintenance and upgrading of most roads within the Shire, as well as other properties and infrastructure it owns. The Shire employs a work gang comprising plant operators, gardeners, mechanic, building maintenance officer, cleaner and works supervisor.

Current Road Closures

York-Williams Road will be closed between Waterhatch Road and Westdale Road from 13 January 2025 to approximately 30 June 2025. The reason for the closure is for the replacement of Bridge 3197. The road is open either side of the bridge to local traffic only. You cannot cross the bridge. Please follow the detour signs. The new bridge will have two traffic lanes unlike the old single lane bridge. We thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.
